Lori J. Hayward is a Texas attorney whose practice includes family law, probate and general civil litigation. Mrs. Hayward also has experience in landlord-tenant disputes, real estate, health care and contract law.

Prior to opening the Hayward Law Firm, PLLC, Mrs. Hayward served as an Associate and later as Of Counsel, for Middleberg Riddle and Gianna (“Middleberg”) in Dallas, Texas.  While there, her practice included complex litigation in a broad range of legal disciplines, including commercial and construction disputes, breach of contract actions, collections/creditor rights, employment law and ERISA. At Middleberg, Mrs. Hayward assisted in the defense of multi-national corporations in business litigation disputes involving construction engineering, procurement and management.

Mrs. Hayward also served as an Attorney Advisor with U. S. Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Assistance (the “ODA”) during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. As an Attorney Advisor, she conducted loan program compliance reviews, funding analysis for Federal disaster loans, and drafted legally sufficient loan closing documents. Additionally, she guided disaster relief Borrowers through the ODA’s loan process and served as legal advisor for various ODA departments. Mrs. Hayward was also responsible for the interpretation and analysis of federal and state legislation and their impact on the ODA’s federal loan-making activities.  Through the review of construction contracts, title documents and other documents of the ODA’s program, Mrs. Hayward has gained a working knowledge of Texas real property law.

Lori is a Dallas native and graduate of  the University of Texas at Austin and Thurgood Marshall School of Law. In addition to being a licensed attorney, she is also a licensed realtor and the wife of A. Dewayne Hayward and proud mother of two children, Brooke and Bryce. She is also a member of Delta Sigm Theta, Inc.
