Summer 2006 Issue 1
THE PRESIDENT’S CORNER

"If I have belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning." -- Mahatma Gandhi.

Welcome to the first edition of the revised J.L. Turner Newsletter! I am excited about 2006 and all that we are poised to accomplish. At our March 2006 meeting we kicked off the project that everyone is still buzzing about: the Million Dollar Capital Campaign to support our legal scholarship efforts and the creation the JLTLA Community Career Center. This Center will be a vehicle for delivering legal services to the Dallas community as well as promoting legal education for the youth of Dallas. Please watch for the solicitation letters shortly.  Please see my attached “Letter from the President” to read about several of the issues that JLTLA is currently involved in.  Thank you for your continued support!
