Tramaine Y. Tinner graduated from the University of Arkansas in May of 2007. Upon her graduation she returned to Dallas and became a member of the Texas Bar in November of 2007. Tramaine has an extensive background in civil litigation, title insurance defense and litigation, consumer law and real estate. She is currently Assistant General Counsel for Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation where she practices in mortgage and real estate transactional law. Tramaine joined JL Turner Legal Association upon joining the Texas Bar in 2007 as a member. During the tenure of her membership Tramaine has served the Association in various positions. In 2012 Tramaine served as the Association’s Recording Secretary, in 2013 she served as its Corresponding Secretary, in 2014 she served as the Association’s Vice President and in 2015 Tramaine served as a Director of the Association. In 2016 Tramaine served as the Association’s President-Elect and now serves as the Association’s 2017 President.

Jesse Okiror has extensive experience representing clients in complex business disputes. Selected as Texas Lawyer’s“Litigator of the Week” in the August 19, 2014 issue, Jesse focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation involving business and intellectual property matters. Jesse has represented clients ranging from high net worth individuals to transnational Fortune 500 companies. Jesse received his juris doctor from the George Washington University Law School in 2008. At George Washington, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition team. His 2008 Jessup brief won “Best Brief” in the Mid-Atlantic region and was subsequently recognized by the American Society of Legal Writers as the best brief submitted in any national moot court competition that year. Upon graduation, Jesse received the Judge Albert H. Grenadier Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy.

Alyssa J. Patterson is currently a Litigation Associate at DeHay & Elliston, L.L.P., where her practice focuses primarily on toxic tort litigation. She represents a major petrochemical company in multiple litigation matters. Previously, Alyssa clerked as a Briefing Attorney under Chief Justice Carolyn Wright on the Texas 5th District Court of Appeals, in which the Court hears both civil and criminal appeals. Prior to the Court, Alyssa briefly practiced family law in Dallas County. Alyssa received her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2014, where she received a graduation pro-bono legal service award completing 200 hours of free legal service. Alyssa served as the Student Bar Association’s Graduating Class Secretary, the President of the Black Law Students Association at OU Law, the Rocky Mountain Region of the Black Law Students Association Vice Chair, and the Treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, Intl. While in law school, Alyssa also clerked for the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals and worked for the Oklahoma City Office of Municipal Counselor (city attorney). Alyssa received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Texas at Denton in 2011. Furthermore, Alyssa has a passion for service and giving back to the community, as well as mentoring law students to help them achieve their dreams. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Her J.L. Turner Legal Association leadership includes serving as the 2017 Parliamentarian. Alyssa also serves as a committee member for DBWA to assist in planning the annual Sparkler brunch.

Wande Elam, a native of Lagos, Nigeria, is an experienced general business attorney presently serving as Association General Counsel with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, a Department of Defense sub-agency that has provided quality, tax-free retail services and merchandise to Active Duty Guard and Reserve members, military retirees and their families for 121 years and counting. Wande served as the Scholarship Committee Chair for J.L. Turner Legal Association for over 8 years before stepping down in 2016. Wande received her law degree, cum laude, from Washington University St. Louis School of Law and received her Bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Winifred E. Cannon is engaged in the general practice of law at the Cannon Law Group, PLLC wherein she counsels and represents individuals and small businesses in state and federal courts.
